In closing my eyes
I remember your smell
And the way your lips felt
When pressed against mine
Only moments ago
But the memory is fading
The image in my head
Already blurred and fractured
Can’t remember your face
Wish I knew your smile
Vague memory of that drawl
Though no words spoken now
In closing my eyes
I fight back tears
Need you again
Before I forget everything

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

i like that. i like that very much. *but* shouldnt the "anything" at the end be "everything" because there's already things been forgotten mentioned in the poem. just my two cents worth.

Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.
